Working with communities to address poverty

Programs and Services

As a development organization committed to poverty alleviation, the Antipolo Seminary Foundation, Inc.'s(ASF) programs and services are directed at building and enhancing the capability of community organizations, other social service groups and individuals implementing community level projects.

Through our Project Development Services strategy, ASF is able to assist its partner-beneficiary organizations in developing their capacity and capability to effectively plan, implement and evaluate their programs or projects. This includes the assistance in helping our partners develop their capability to effectively manage their resources and organization.

The ASF extends needed interventions through limited financial assistance, training-seminars and consultancies. Since 1993, the ASF has assisted 259 projects. By March 31, 2009, 176 of these projects were completed. These projects include:

  • community-based health programs and other related projects that seek to address the dismal local health condition;
  • early childhood education and nutrition monitoring programs for pre-school children ages 4 to 7 years old;
  • livelihood, income-generating and other forms of socio-economic projects that contribute in increasing the household income;
  • installation of potable drinking water systems;
  • educational assistance projects that support the essential financial requirements of deserving but financially needy students;
  • basic adult literacy, leadership trainings and organizational management trainings.
