Livelihood Projects
Samahan ng Magsasaka sa Concepcion Grande (SMCG)
The Antipolo Seminary Foundation, Inc.(ASF) assisted SMCG through a low interest loan and capability building package. This post harvest facility project is a tangible representation of the farmers' dreams: the ownership of the land they till, the promise of abundant harvests in the future and unity among the members of their community toward the achievement of common goals.
The project enables SMCG members to reduce their post harvest expenses by P2.00 to P4.00 per sack of palay processed
The thresher enables SMCG members to improve the post harvest processing of their produce and reduce loss resulting from water damage and rodent infestation.
Bayanihan or mutual assistance in the community was enhanced by the project.
The thresher operators and SMCG also gained additional income from the threshing operations. SMCG uses its share to partly finance organizational activities.
The project resulted in improving the capability of the organization along project and finance management.
